More people now spend a month or the whole dry season in Phu Quoc rather than a week. Once a trip turns into daily life, the small practical things matter: where the washing goes, why your wardrobe smells damp, and what it all costs.

How much laundry a month-long stay creates

In the heat you change clothes daily, sometimes twice. A couple typically fills 5–8 kg a week with clothes, swimwear and beach towels. The easiest rhythm is one wash a week, plus bedding and towels every two weeks if your apartment doesn't change them.

Why clothes won't dry and start to smell

Humidity is high, especially through October. Cotton hung on a balcony can take two or three days to dry and picks up a musty smell on the way. What helps:

  • Hang wet swimwear straight away in an air-conditioned room, never leave it in a bag.
  • Keep clean clothes in a wardrobe with the door ajar, not zipped in a suitcase.
  • Once a week, send clothes somewhere that tumble dries them instead of line drying, so they come back fully dry.

What it costs

At NightGo Laundry in Duong Dong, wash, dry and fold is 45,000₫ per kg (about US$1.75), ready in 3–4 hours; express is 55,000₫/kg in 1–2 hours. Clothes are weighed dry, and we always send you a photo of the scale with the total. A couple's weekly wash usually comes to around 225,000–360,000₫. Pickup and delivery is from 50,000₫ per order (both ways), 8am–10pm, quoted for your address before we come, and the shop itself is open 24/7.

Paying

Pay in cash (Vietnamese dong) or by bank transfer when your clothes come back. Nothing is paid in advance.
